- The JP-8000 was seen at the time as the modern incarnation of the classic Jupiter-8, from 1981. The JP-8000 sought to reproduce the warm tonalities and sheer analog power of its older, bigger brother, of course with a modern slant, adding all kinds of features, from motion control, to RPS, to the fabled Super Saw oscillators.
Ever since I got my JP-8000 I have been troubled by the fact that when you tweak a patch that in order to save it you have to overwrite that patch. Boom, now the original is gone and I no longer have the ability to use the original unless I want to initialize the patch.

So I just figured out that if you switch patches in the middle of recording that when you launch that clip it will automatically switch to that patch. I don't need to save anything on the JP! It just automatically saves in Live and I don't have to do any recalling just launch the clip! Wow!
Maybe this is something that everybody should 'know' but for me it's amazing! After years of moderate satisfaction with the JP I can now fully use it to do what I want it to do, without having some third party software or using sysex. Excellent *in Mr. Burns' voice*Jp 8000 Vst Download Yellow Album
